- 8 Idli
- 2 Dried Red Chilli, Whole
- 2 tbsp Cooking Oil
- 3/4 tsp Mustard Seeds / Rai *
- 2 Green Chillies / Hari Mirch
- 10 Curry Leaves / Kadi Patta
- pinch Salt / Namak
- 1/3 tsp Turmeric Powder / Haldi Powder
- 2 Tbsp frozen peas
- 3/4 tsp Chili flakes /Kuti hui laal mirch
- 2 tbsp Tomatoes / Tamatar finely chopped
- 1/2 Tsp Sambhar Powder
- 3 tbsp Fresh Coriander / Cilantro / Hara Dhaniya chopped
- 1/4 cup Water / Paani
- 1 tsp lemon juice optional
Slice left over idli to make 2 or 4 pieces.(If they are cold and kept refrigerated then sprinkle 2 tsp water on the Idlis and then microwave for 1-2 minutes)
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and when they start crackling add sliced green chilies,whole red chili and the curry leaves.
Saute for few seconds and then add the green peas,salt ,turmeric and cover and cook for a minute.
Add chili flakes, sambhar powder, and 1/4 cup water.
When it start boiling immediately add the lemon juice, sliced Idlis and the chopped tomatoes and stir gently so all moisture get absorbed in the idli pieces.
Switch off the flame and add fresh coriander and serve hot
