Now gradually add water and make a smooth lump free thin batter.
Cover and let it rest for around 15 minutes minimum.
Heat a heavy gridle/ tawa and grease it .
Pour the batter on hot tawa like we do for making rava dosa. fill the gaps with batter.
Cook on medium heat, apply some ghee or oil on the dosa and cook till golden and crisp , flip and cook from other side too.
You can use ghee ,oil or butter as per your choice to roast the dosa
Remove from the tawa when done and serve hot with any chutney of your choice.
Tips-
- Make a thin watery batter for crisp dosa and if you want soft dosa then use less water to make soft dosa.
- Use either a nonstick tawa or a heavy well seasoned dosa tawa.
- Cook on medium heat , it takes time to cook and become crisp.
- Addition of carrot is optional
