French beans chana dal sabji- a healthy and delicious stir fry of beans and lentils
This Beans stir fried with soaked chana dal sabji is a high protein healthy side dish. It can be served with roti, rice or as a salad with your meal.It can be easily packed in school or office tiffin boxes with some curry or curd for a complete meal.
This french beans chana daal sabji s quite similar to the south Indian style bean poriyal. In southern India they add semi crushed daal in veggie’s like beans, carrot, cabbage, okra, bitter gourd and beans etc. and make like a stir fry. In poriyal they also add grated coconut instead of lentils. You can also add some grated coconut in this sabji to make it more healthier and interesting.
I made this stir fry with French beans but you can try it with Chinese long beans too, but try to choose fresh and tender ones, mature and dry one will not taste good in this. Choose tender fresh French beans as they cook faster and taste better.
