How To Make Honey Chili Sauce | Spicy Honey Sauce Recipe

Honey Chili Sauce- a delicious and easy to make dip ,marinade of spicy chili honey

Honey chili sauce is a delicious sweet spicy easy sauce used for marinade,drizzle , use as a dip, spread on bread or pizza or any thing you prefer. It is very easy to make sauce with basic ingredients available in your pantry.

You can easily make this by combining good quality pure honey, vinegar, chili flakes and salt and let it infuse for few days or just heat it on low temperature if you are in hurry.  I prefer it to warm slightly and then simmer all the ingredients with honey and then wait for 2-3 days so the flavours will get absorbed in the honey.

When your honey chili jar will be ready then you can use it in so many things, you can drizzle over your pizza , pasta , dip with your feta cheese cubes , use as a dip with your sandwich, You can spread it over your pancakes, with chips, fries , drizzle over your Nachos, potato wedges, Cheese naan or try and experiment with whatever you prefer or fancy. The options are endless so be creative and explore new flavours.

you can drizzle this Chili Honey sauce over your bread, yogurt, cake , cheesecakes etc. and over your grilled or roasted fruits.

Ingredients-

Honey– Try to get good quality honey for making this, no need of using raw honey for this but if it’s easily available then you can surely use that. Honey is the main ingredient so try using the best one possible.

Chili Flakes– quantity of chili flakes depend on your preference , add as much spicy you want to make it. I have added chili flakes and some chopped dried red chilies pieces in it. Alternately you can add some chili flakes and some chili powder and some fresh red chili slices as well for a nice bright colour of the sauce. The quantity of chili flakes can be reduced or increased as per your liking as it is quite a flexible sauce.

Vinegar-To add some tang and sourness you can either add white vinegar or lemon juice , I prefer vinegar over lemon juice but you can add anyone you prefer-white vinegar, apple cider vinegar ,rice vinegar or lemon juice.

How to make it-

Take a saucepan and add honey, salt, chili flakes, dried chili pieces in it and simmer over low heat for just few minutes till the honey become little runny,stir it and switch off the heat and add the vinegar. let it cool down and fill it in a sterilized glass bottle and store at room temperature. it will stay fresh till it last.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Honey
  • 1 tsp Salt / Namak
  • 2.5 tsp Chili flakes /Kuti hui laal mirch
  • 4 Dried red chilies or fresh *
  • 2 tbsp White Vinegar / Sirka

Instructions

  • Chop the dried or fresh red chili into pieces( If fresh or dried whole red chilies are not available then increase the quantity of chili flakes instead)
  • TaKe a sauce pan and add honey, salt, chili flakes and chili pieces in it and simmer till the honey become hot and become slight thin in consistency.no need to boil it
  • Switch off the heat and then add vinegar and mix.
  • Let it come to room temperature and then fill in a sterilized glass bottle.
  • Store at room temperature , it will remain fresh till it last.
  • Use as a dip, spread, marinate, sauce etc on your favourite food or snack.
  • Enjoy !
