Kele Ka Raita /Banana Raita- A  mildly spiced yogurt dip of banana, mint and ginger.

Kele ka Raita –Summer calls for cool and refreshing yogurt raita and dips. Raitas are Indian style mildly spiced yogurt based dips. Different types of fruits and vegetables are added in raita to make it healthy ,filling and refreshing. Raita can be served as a side dish with meals or can have a bowl of thick raita when ever your hanger pangs hits you.

I love to make different types of raitas and dips to serve with daily meals. My family favourite is Spinach Raita , bottle gourd Raita and Pumpkin Raita.

Bananas are packed with so many nutrients, very good for bones ,relieves anemia, aids digestion, lower blood pressure and most important it combat depression so it is very good to add in your daily diet.I have seen many people make sweet raita with banana but I loved this minty banana raita /kela ka raita with the flavour of mint ,cumin and ginger, goes well with all types of rice and Indian breads.

Do Try these banana sabzi  recipes-

  • Kela Methi nu shaak
  • Bharwa kela ki sabzi
  • Stuffed Banana Pakoda
  • Ripe Banana Curry
  • Raw Banana Fry
