Besan laddu – A very popular and easy to make Indian dessert made with roasted gram flour and castor sugar.

Besan laddu is a very traditional dessert of India. It is made almost on all festivals and celebration. Making besan ladoo is quite easy, you just have to roast the besan in ghee till it start giving a nice aroma and become golden in color. But you have o roast it on low heat and over roasting and under roasting both can ruin the taste of besan laddu .
After roasting let it cool down slightly then add the bura or castor sugar , if you add when it is hot then the sugar will melt and it become too soft to bind ladoo. You can add bura, darni, castor sugar what ever available with you. I personally prefer to add bura chini in it.
You can add any nuts of your choice in it, mix it and make ladoo of desired sizes.

They are deceptively simple to make, but not all besan ladoos are tasty. I guess there is a technique when you roast it. It can taste very raw if you do not roast it enough or get burnt if you overdo it. These look just perfect
